Correction In Time Is Over

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

Powerful bull markets correct in price, time or price and time.  After a significant rise over an extended period, an index or a stock often corrects in time.  The time duration over which an index or a stock trades in a relatively narrow price range is commonly known as the "consolidation" period.  What follows a consolidation period is continuation of the underlying trend.

After rising significantly over the course of last five and half years, all major indices have entered into an extended consolidation period and have corrected in time.  Chances are excellent that the underlying uptrend resumes once indices break out of the current trading range in the next couple of weeks.

SPX To Test Its 50 D-SMA Again

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

SPX is to test its 50 D-SMA and AUL around 2100 this week, very likely today.  A daily close below 2100 this week would signal more selling.

The Grind Up Will Continue

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

After a minor sell off to test its DTL around 1120, I expect SPX to rally to 2165 to 2170 this coming week.  I'm planing to do my fourth and final buy on that minor pull back, very likely on Tuesday or Wednesday.

An Explosive Move Higher Is Very Likely For All Major Indices

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

SPX rallied on Thursday and Friday and closed at a new closing high and more significantly well above its PDL.  An explosive move on the back of short covering and side money coming in is very likely at this point.

I expect SPX to rally to 2165 to 2170 this coming week.  I'm planing to do my fourth and final buy on a minor pull back, very likely early Tuesday.

All Time High's For Indices Are Coming Up

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

SPX rallied on Friday and closed at its high of the day right at its PDL.  Chances are good that SPX continues its rally this coming week to challenge its recent all time high.

Bull markets correct in three ways: Price, Time or Price and Time. This is a classic case of correction in Time and we are at the end of it.  I expect indices to rally from now well into June or early July.

Updated for recent trades

SPX rallied and broke through its ADL last week and put in and closed at a new all time high.  SPX has now established a sustainable up trending price channel (show in green).  Chances are good that SPX continues its advance after back testing of double support (blue arrow) around 2110 early this coming week.

Buying Fear And Worry

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

SPX rallied and broke through its PDL last week and was on its way to put in another new all time high.  Then worries about Greece and China crept in causing a sell off last Friday.

These type of worries in an extremely accommodating monitory environment are good opportunities to add to long positions.  My plan is do my 3rd buy as soon as SPX closes above its PDL, very likely sometime this coming week.

New Highs For Major Indices Are Coming

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

SPX rallied last week and closed slightly above its PDL on Friday.  At this point, chances are excellent that all major indices, including SPX, hit new all time highs this coming week as we enter into the most bullish period of the Presidential Cycle.

SPX very likely rallies on Monday to test ADL resistance around 2110.  A pull back to back test PDL around 2100 is very likely early next week.  My plan is to do my 3rd buy as PDL is back tested.

Down Side For SPX Is Limited

SGS Market Timer Status:   LONG
LONG as of close of 3/16/2015

RTS Current Portfolio (2015)

Last week on Thursday, SPX tested its triple resistance point (AUL, 50 and 20 D-SMA at 2072) and quickly sold off to close at 2067.

SPX futures are down 0.7% as of this writing due to disappointing job numbers released on Friday.  In very short term, bad job numbers are negative, but in intermediate to long term weak employment data is quite bullish because:
  1. The Fed is going to remain dovish and leave interest rates alone for foreseeable future.
  2. Weak employment data means lower labor cost for companies.
Chances are good that SPX initially sells off to 2040 on Mon before heading higher.
